I’ve been reading a lot lately about thoughts. What is your first thought of the day? Where does your mind rest or linger for a spell? Where does it dwell?
How many of us spend quiet time in ‘conscious direction’ of our thoughts? Or do they rule without direction? We’re not supposed to be responsible for the unconscious ones…but we are for the other. Right?
So are your thoughts dark and mysterious? Or are they light? Or maybe somewhere in the middle? You get to decide.
“To shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.” ~ Luke 1:79
Please weigh in.
Reflectfully yours,

First thought is usually “what time is it?” followed by either “It’s too early, I hope I can get back to sleep” or “Wow, it’s late, I’ve got to get going” – followed by a cascade of to do’s, appreciation, hygiene, etc. You didn’t ask what the last thought of the day is, but it’s typically thanking God for what I have and appreciation of loved ones and friends.
